All Sri Lankans, I believe, have benefited immensely from the website www.doenets.lk as you know, the Department of Examinations, which started to serve the public from the 1 st of October 1951, is now called National Evaluation and Testing Service (NETS) to make it possible to spread its wings wider, so that it could test and evaluate candidates at various levels and situations. The School Based Assessment is one such endeavour where the assessment of student by his best evaluator, the teacher, is included in his G.C.E. (O/L) certificate. This shows that NETS has developed in leaps and bounds. I request the public to make maximum use of our website and forward their observations, suggestions and criticisms to make it better still.
